Adventure Sworn Navigator Pouch

When I first saw these I figured they'd be a great fit for my compass or my fire kit, and while it works for that just fine, I am using it differently.

I've always been a fan of leather cartridge carriers, the belt slide version and this Navigator pouch works very well in that capacity, across multiple calibers too!

Seven cartridges, 7mm Remington Magnum 3.29COL, at this length this is about the maximum for the pouch. Any longer and the clasp won't close.

It also works perfectly for Moose Pills too! (.45-70)

Quality is beyond question, top end leather work no doubt about it, some of the best work I have ever seen.

I'll be getting the bigger one, the Traveler, soon. It'll be used for navigation and fire kits.

Backwoods Bum Approved!

  2. Excellent post. I would be interested in getting one of these for .300 Savage cartridges, which are about .7" shorter than your 7mm Remington Magnum. Do you think they would fit snugly in there?

    1. I do, it should fit fine. Length you'd be great on since .300 is slightly shorter that 7MM Rem Mag, and since it'll hold .45-70 no problem you'd be fine on thickness as well. If not, let me know and I'll buy it off ya!

  3. That's nice.

"moose pills" now that's funny, are these on a "Take one pill as needed" prescription?

    1. Heh, yeah something like that. I can't remember the first time I heard that phrase in reference to the old .45-70. It was a guide, I just can't remember if it was in Alaska or Maine, one or the other. Rather apt too, never saw a moose need more than one of them.
